Notice of Flushing Hydrants
City of Eveleth will be flushing hydrants October 12th – 23rd. Customers in the area may experience some water discoloration due to hydrant flushing. This will only be temporary. Customers should run the water in the home until the water clears.
Flushing our system helps to clean out any build-up of mineral deposits and sediment inside the pipes. These deposits can occur when there is a reduced water demand. We also flush our hydrants to confirm they are operational and to check fire flows in our system.
